Biography

Dr. LI Zongxi is an Assistant Professor at Division of Artificial Intelligence, School of Data Science, Lingnan University. He obtained the B.Ed.Sc. (Honours) degree in Science and Web Technology with First Class Honours and President's Honour List (only the student with the highest GPA is eligible) from Education University of Hong Kong in 2018, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the City University of Hong Kong in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Qing Li and Prof. Minming Li.

He has authored over 27 papers including top-tier journal articles, such as Pattern Recognition, Knowledge-based Systems, Information Processing & Management, and IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, and high-impact conference proceedings, such as AAAI and ACL. He was awarded the Best Paper Award from WI-IAT and the Best Paper Runner-up Award from BESC.

Within the first two years of his academic career, Dr. Li has secured more than HK$4 million in research funds as the principal investigator or co-investigator, including a Faculty Development Scheme (FDS) from the Research Grants Council, he has been actively engaging in academic services and activities. He serves as a reviewer for more than 20 international journals and as an organization committee chair/member for more than five conferences. In particular, he serves on the Editorial Board of Computer & Education: X Reality (Elsevier) and is an Executive Assistant Editor of Natural Language Processing Journal (Elsevier).
